Richard Pero. Tuesday, May 28 at 7:30 p.m. is the pre-conference at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Watertown. A hew floor and some other repair work is underway at the Dugway United Methodist Church House. The contractor is working at the very reasonable rate of $6 per hour. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Upton and children, Sarah and Luke, of Alton and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Upton and daughter, Shelly, were Mother's Day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Upton. They also celebrated the belated bir- thday of Jody Upton which was May 5. Mrs. Clarence Gardner of Dugway was a Tuesday evening visitor of her mother, Mrs. George Priest and brought her a new translation of the Bible in large print. Mrs. Penny Priest and son, Steve, visited the Priests on Saturday and brought a Mother's Day Card. Mrs. Priest also received a lovely card and gift from her daughter, Mrs. Darwin Cole of Tennessee and an even nicer present was a surprise visit from Mrs. Cole on Saturday evening. Also visiting on Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Cole and three sons of^Dugwajr, Mr..and Mrs.- Andy Rbwe aiid Stephanie, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Priest and Mrs. Edward Bennett. Mother's Day visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Karl Trumble of Hastings Center, Wayne Priest, Ronnie Priest, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Priest, Mrs. Darwin Cole, Jerry Cole, Mr. and Mrs. James Priest, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Sims and daughter, Erika of Pulaski. Randy Bennett called Sunday evening to wish his grandmother a Happy Mother's Day. Mrs. Priest was remembered by all her children on Mother's Day as well as some of the gran- dchildren and great-grandchildren. She wishes to thank them all with love; also Mrs. Vernon Mowers and family for their warm remembrance. Mrs. Naomi Duegaw of Pulaski was a Mother's Day guest of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nash and family. Doris Priest spent the weekend with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Priest. The Hubbards, Hibbards, LaPoints, Mrs. Lettie DeLacey of Pulaski and the Wiltses were Mother's Day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles DeLacey and son at North Syracuse. This was also for the birthday of Alaina LaPoint on May 10 and Myrtis Wiltse on May 13. Mr. and Mrs. Michael LaPoint of North Syracuse were Saturday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wiltse. I received a nice arrangement of flowers on Friday from Lance for Mother's Day and a lengthy telephone call on Sunday night. I received other nice gifts and cards for Mother's Day and my birthday also. Thanks to everyone. The only bad part is getting older. Mrs. Mona Parrish of Ft. Pierce, Fla., was in church on Sunday and is visiting the Bristols. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hubbard, the Rev. and Mrs. Richard Pero, Mrs. Elsie Hess, Miss Barbara Walterand Mrs. Donald Wiltse attended the Central Cluster meeting at Adams United Methodist Church on Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wiltse had dinner at TJ's on.Friday evening and then did some shopping. With all the coverage about VE Day, did it make all those who are old enough to remember feel old? It had that effect on me. it doesn't seem like 40 years have gone by. I'm glad to see that the Vietnam veterans finally had, a parade in New York. The Juniors are selling the calen- dars, as a fund-raising project, for the Service Club. The calendars cost $1.50, or $3 for including the buyer's birthday. Parade Planned Stone-Davis Post No. 384, American Legion, is making the arrangements for the Memorial Day parade and program which will be held in Mexico on Monday, May 27. The parade units will form on East Main Street, North Street and Lincoln Avenue at 9:30 a.m. and march promptly at 10 a.m. The theme chosen this year by the Mexico and New Haven American Legion posts is, \REMEMBER OUR WAR VETERANS.\ All organizations are invited to participate In the parade. Prizes will be given for floats, marching units, decorated bicycles and horses. In case of inclement weather the program, usually held at the cemetery, will be observed in the MACS Avery Skinner Auditorium. Frederic A. Stone, M.D., of Watertown, and a member of Stone-Davis American Legion Post, will be the Memorial Day speaker. Fuller Honored The Hon. Hadwen C. Fuller has been chosen to be presented a Certificate of Merit ! by the members of Mexico Chapter No. 135, Royal Arch Masons. A testimonial dinner in honor of Mr. Fuller will be held May 26, at 5 p.m in the Mexico Masonic Temple, Main Street, Mexico. Masons and friends of Mr. Fuller are invited to attend.
