Charles Masuicca, Jr., was present at the Richland Town Board meeting, May 6, to request a temporary permit to move his trailer to a site on the Gerdon Road. A decision of the Zoning Board, which has the authority to issue the permit had to be post- poned due to the fact that the legal notice, advising the public of the meeting, was not printed in the town's official paper. Town Attorney, Norman Seiter, explained that, by law, the legal notice must be in the paper five days prior to the meeting, thus, the meeting had to be delayed. The board apologized for the hold-up, and approved a motion to petition the Zoning Board of Appeals for a special meeting to issue . temporary permits to Masuicca, and Ed Peterson, who was also affected by the mistake. Town Supervisor Arthur Hilliker cautioned Masuicca that he may have to move the trailer if he does get a temporary permit, and then the regular permit isn't approved. Two businessmen approached the board to advise them of their intention to purchase land on the south side of Route 13.
