Judy VanGee, Charles Collie Wed at Palmyra Mr. & Mrs. Charles G. Collie (Miss Judy C. VanGee) r a Happening s«i« Baskets of white pompons decorated the Reformed Church of Palmyra, N.Y., for the wed ding of Miss Judy Carol VanGee and Charles G. Collie on Satur day, October 23rd at 2:00 P.M. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. VanGee of Walworth, N.Y. The groom is the son of Mrs. Martin W . Collie Sr., and the late Martin W. Collie Sr. of Palmyra, N.Y. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Robert Ondra, pastor of the Reformed Church and the Rev. William Emblidge, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Palmyra. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white sati-peau with leg-o-mutton sleeves and a Victorian neckline. Venice lace banded the wrists, the neckline and outlined the square yoke. The skirt was ap- pliqued with lace, floral motifs and banded at the hemline spud Cathedral train with the Venice lace A contour cap of Venice lace and pearl appliqued organza petals with satin ribbon streamers held her bouffant illusion veil. She carried a cascade of white sweetheart roses centered with a lavender orchid. Miss Gloria Johnson, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a floor-length gown of or chid sati-pea(i with a high neck and bishop ^Jeeves banded with Venice lace uowers. Bands of the flowers were appliqued vertically on the pin-tucked bodice. The lace formed a chevron on the back bodice and circled the waistline. She wore a Camelot cap of matching sati-peau banded with lace. She carried a lavender orchid with white and lavender streamers. Miss Diane Schuldt, cousin of the bride, Mrs. David Barger- stock and Mrs. Eugene Woodard, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids. They wore gowns matching that of the maid of honor. All carried a white orchid with lavender streamers. Miss Michelle Collie, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. She wore an orchid dress similar to that of the maid of honor and carried a basket of white and (cont. page 18) Palmy Personals Mrs. Thomas Gilmore, Da an sen Road, flew to Germany this past week to visit her daughter, Nancy, who is studying at the University of Munich in that city. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nesbitt, Canandaigua Street, spent the week-end with their son, John, in Canton, N.Y., where John is a student at St. Lawrence University. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Schade, Meadow Drive, entertained at their home on Saturday evening. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Richard Oakleaf, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Unger, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schinsing, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Clemons, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Shurgot and Mr. and Mrs. Donald McCormick. Richard C. VerHow, a student at Albany College of Pharmacy, spent mid-semester break with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elwyn VerHow, Creek Rd. The Rev. and Mrs. Eugene Durham of Ithaca were in town last Friday and called on Mr. and Mrs. Louis Foster, Stafford St., Mr. and Mrs. Orey Richards, Canandaigua St. and Mr. and Mrs Earl Lupoid, Stafford Road. Jim Eckburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Eckburg, 121 Burnham Heights, Palmyra, is a member of the 1971 Allegheny College football team. An of fensive tackle, Jim has seen a lot of duty on tly^Gators’ specialty teams. The 6 ft. 1, 190 pound Sophomore, is a graduate of Palmyra Macedon Central School. Mr. and Mrs. George Hall apd sons, David and Douglas, who now reside in Punta Gorda, Florida, spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. George Alderman in Clearwater. The group enjoyed a day at Disney World in celebration of Douglas Hall’s 8th birthday, Nov. 5. Ralph D. Sessions, who has been a patient at Clifton Springs Hospital, has returned to his home on Cuyler St. Mrs. William Boys, ac companied by Mrs. C. C. Nesbitt, Mrs. Margaret Holtz and Mrs. Myron DeWitt, drove to Syracuse on Monday to have luncheon at the home 6i Mrs. Walter Kiemele. Mrs. Herbert Fransco en tertained Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Shove at dinner Sunday in Naples, the occasion being Mrs. Shove’s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Finley Hunt of Charlotte Avenue entertained Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Harter and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hungerford at dinner Monday evening in honor of Mrs. Harter’s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Heald of Greece were guests of her grandmother, Mrs. Edwin Lupoid, Armington Rd., on Sunday afternoon. BIRTH A daughter, Pamela Kay, was born to Mr. and Mrs. James Butkus, 253 Turner Road, Palmyra, in Thompson Memorial Hospital, Canandaigua, N.Y., Thursday, Oct. 21, 1971.
