BOY SCOUTS Scout Troop No. 166 have started their meetings and are looking for ward to an exciting year. The place and time are the same as last year — school cafeteria from 7 00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday even- ings. The Scoutmaster extends an invi tation to any interested of scout age 11 years and up to join the troops. Visitors welcome anytime. STORYTIME The first Storytime of the Fall series will begin this Saturday, Sept ember 25 for Macedon Area child ren. This will be in the Macedon Reading Center from 10:30-11:15 a.m. The children will be divided into two groups. Mar- lea Brigham, Upstate Commissioner of Appeals — will be held at the Macedon Baptist Church on Fri day, September 24 at 8:00 p.m. in stead of Saturday as stated. REGISTRATION DAYS AHEAD If you have changed your place of residence or have moved into the community since last fall be sure to register so you can vote in Novem ber. Registration will be held on Friday, October I from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct ober 2 the same hours. Those re siding in District 1, north of route 31 and south of the railroad wilj go to the Town Hall, District 2, north of the railroad to the Aca demy in Macedon Center and Dis trict three, south of Route 31 to the Fire Hall. Remember if you have changed your residence, even if you have moved to another apart ment in the same house or apart ment building, you will have to re register. PERSONALS The fall season has appeared early. The Blue Jays are out loudly calling and looking for their winter feeding places. The official date isnt until the 21st however. Mr. and Mrs. George Taylor were in Clarence Center at the home o£ their daughter and family on Mon day evening to help granddaughter Rebekah celebrate her 6th birth day. Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Meyers of Tempe, Arizona aire visiting rela tives and friends in Macedon and • Fairport. They were Macedon resi dents some years ago. We extend our sympathy to Jay Staley and family on the recent death of his sister, Rose Kreuger of Rochester. Services were held on Saturday morning from the Keenan Funeral Home in Fairport. Mr. and Mrs. George Taylor were the Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Forman of Pitts* ford and enjoyed seeing their slides of their recent trip to Alaska and our western states. DEER KILLED A beautiful ten point deer uas injured about 9:00 p.m. Saturday evening on West Main Street when struck by a car as it was crossing the road. l£ struggled to it’s feet to collapse in a flower bed in the yard of Mrs. Stanley Hosenfeld. Sheiiffs authorities were called to put the deer out of its miseries. The lot between 7 and 9 West Main Street has been a crossing for the deer for several years and can be seen in the early morning. This is the first time one has been hurt. The past Sunday four dogs chased what residents were sure was a deer'close to the rear of their homes, in this same area. It disap peared through the swamp at the foot of the hill and disappeared in to the weedsy part without being caught.
