The JRo*sie Troii Ore Co. were sued by Marshall J. Kima for damages on account of injuries received last January while in the employ of the company. The case, was tried in Watertown last week. Mr. McFalls is to be congratulated on his suc- cess as eminent counsel, including Hon. Denis O'Brien of Watertown,- were retained by the defendants. 'ffgra Km&gK.«>¥«snwbf(c ,i%'«e»m«lr Wart*.— KaBargrnd.anal Jg9sutr&.\A Mrttttr The i/ammond Burying Ground is at present undergoing n process of enlargement and improvement that is calculated to add largely to itrappearance. The. ground is now neatly fenced, and is enters' 1 by two gates. The grass is .cropped short and the absence of bramble and unsightly weeds gives the burying ground a cared-for. and decidedly improved appearance. In enlarging the eronnd it would have been better, had the* land been- available, to to have added a portion to the end facing the village, as it would have embraced a portion of land at a similar altitude with the rest ot the ground. The new.ground .taken in at the sides, facinff the railroad, slopes down the declivity of'the hill and will re- quire considerable grading to make it com- pare with the rest. It is intended to open a.road leading to the burying ground troth the main road at a point'about a third of a mile from the vil- lage and near Mr. Dake's house. This will be another much needed improvement, and .will prevent the necessity of driving through fields in order to reach the ground.
