Blood Once More Flawing in the Streets of Belfast. Expert Riflemen Firing from the Roofs of Eouseg, A BolCast (Ireland) dispatch of the IStb •ays: Rioting has been resumed. From mid- night last night until four o'clock this morn- ing tt.rHle fight was in progress on the Shank- hill road and the Old Falls rciad. One person was killed and many were wounded. The town is seething, Sectarian strife ha« recurred in a deplorable, cold-blooded fashion. Expert marksmen this morn, lng conducted a rifle fight front rooi fops, chimney stocks and street corners. Im- mense crowds of partisans, who carefully kept out of range, were, prepared to assist by prpplyihg ammunition and removing the wounded. The sides wer^e equally, divided. Trie moon shone brightly throughout the contest. The Orangemen admit that one of their men, named Maefarlane, was killed, and that two others, named Smith and- Johnson, wore mortally wounded; alsp, that there were numerous -minor casualties on their side. They claim that they killed and wonnded many Catholics, but tholatterdeny that they sustained serious losses. Many h'ousas were riddled by bullets. Whenever the military appeared the combatants shifted tiheir ground. Finally, at 5 o'clock, after the riot act had been twice read, the troops (iharged upon the crowds and cleared the jAreets temporarily. Ah old man and two jjromen,, the. inmates 6£ a house on .Conway street, from which many shoFi had been fired, were arrested. They stated that throe men had forqed an. entrance into the house and had remained there all night firing from the roof. A howling Crowdes- co$sd the/prisoners to the jail. The mob ttf- day repeatedly fired upon the police. A tavern owned by a Catholic, situated in a Protestant district, was looted: The order instructing the police to use buckshot instead oCbullets hasbeeh canceled; The populace is sullen and menacing; An Orange procession, while passing through the streets of WidneS, Lancashire, says a London dispatch, was jeered at by the spectators; The Orangemen thereupon prbkerahksand attacked the crowd. One Of the spectators was stabbed and mortally wounded and two policemen and a number ofother persons were injured. A later dispatch from Belfast says tbatat .aoJerocCaT^itKeia^^^ataBfc'TKeiprifew by su^Snman oierfsonsinduce^-the Catho- lics tojrefffeat midnight;' All .the^wautided vrete doibg well, except one,-little girl; who- had been shot in the chest and v.-as said to be dying. We append a recent letter, whioh came to us entirely unsolicited, with permission to publish it: DATTON, Ohio, Jan. 12, 1886. You may add my testimony as (o the merits of PisO's Cure for Consumption. I took a severe cold last February* which settled on my lungs. They became' ulcerated and were.so painftilthat I had no rest for two.days and nights. I got a bottle of Fiso?s CUre for Con- sumption, and was relieved by the time I had taken half of it. Since that time I have kept Piso's Cure in the house, and use it as a pre- ventive, both for lung troubles and croup, for which I can recommend it as the best medicine lever used: and that is saying a great deal, for I have used at least twenty others, besides about as many physicians' prescriptions. Piso's Cure for Consumption has'never failed to give relief in my family. A. J. GRTJBB. 87 Springfield Bt. , . MEN look slovenly with ruiiiover Heels.
