Young' . new house, Saturday afternoon, and broke his arm near the wrist, also put the wrist out of joint, and otherwise-in- ured himself. Dr. T. A. ( Kerr, of Rossie, was'called .that evening to at- tend his injuries. The accident happen- ed by Mr. Young stepping on a thin board, 'an arrangement for laying his tools on' which broke, precipitating him ito the hard stoney ground beneath—a distance of about 20 ft. —It is reported that fishing parties are putting nets in Pleasant Lake and the matter should be investigated at once. Our people cannot afford to lvjive this little fishing ground stripped of its fish. Pleasant Lake is hardly more than a large pond which contains some very nice fish which can be caught only at certain seasons-of the year. Storie, while surveying land in, Macomb, in crossing a pasture ran across two snakes. He managed to kill one which measured 4 feet 10 inches in length and as 1 large around as a man's, wrist< The larger, snake of the two escaped. Mr: Storie says they were of a dark seal-brown color.
