The North Country road, from Wading River to Mattituck. is also . -designated for iir.ptovement under the Hewitt bill. Other highways designated arc the following: Highway from the proposed State park at Wading River, which will be known as Wildwood Park, to the Wadlnsr River - Roanoke - Matt : tuck highway; from Southampton to Bridgehampton ; from Amagansett to Moctauk Point ; from Amityville county line road ; f rom Mor.tauk high- way to the Pipe Line boulevard; from Pipe Line boulevard to Wading River State Park ; Maywood-Babylon load; Greenport-Orient Point road, and from the east end of the town road to the proposed State park on Lloyds Neck , Huntington. In addition to the $5 , 000,000 or up- wards that is to be expended in the improvement of these highways , the town s and villages will raise several million dollars for highway improve- ments during the next five years. LI P. yU M N l' lNH j Riverhead—Perry L. Peterson , one of the well-known residents of this village , died at the home of his son, Carl F. Peterson , list Friday at the age of oil years. He had been ill from heart disease for some time. Mr. Peterson was born in Riverhead and resided here all his life. He was employed in Hallett Bros. ' grist mill for many years and subsequently worked at the carpenter ' s trade. Be- sides the above named son the de- | ceased is survived b y a daughter. Miss A. Mildred Peterson , and another son , Perry Peterson. Funeral services were conducted at the residence of Mr . Peterson ' s daughter on West Main ! street Sunday afternoon. Rev . C. C. Besides her parents she is survived by four sis- ters , Mrs , Harry Aldrich , \ of Matti- tuck: Katharine , Virg inia and Jean Morrell . and a brother , Wesley Mor- rell. Mr. and Mrs. Morrell have the deepest sympathy in their bereave- ment. They lost another daughter about a year ago.
