KNEIP MURDER TRIAL Rochester, May 28.-With the clos ing of testimony for the prosecution today in the case of Pearl Berver O'Dell, charged with murder of Ed ward J. Kneip, the trial was at jJourned until Tuesday. Justice Rob ert Thompson allowed the jurors to go to their homes on their promises not to discuss the case with any one. Relatives of Mrs. O'Dell and her husband, James Louis O'Dell, now under death sentence for the crime, clashed after the session of court Each claimed that the other side was trying to shift the blame for the crime to the defendant relative of the opposite party. The discrepancy in the conlession made by Mrs. O'Dell after her ar rest on the night of the murder and accepted as evidence today and the testiniony of the condemned buaband caused the clash. Ow the stand at his own trial O'Dell claimed to have been choked into unconscfousness by Knelp and to hare found him dead 4 when he recovered. Mrs. O'Dall in her confession told only of pulling Eneip off O'Dell when he was choi- ing him and of kicking him in the stomach. Her attorney had prevent. ed her from describing the battle at the scene of the murder.
