K athleen M avoi - rnken ” waa presented last evening by the Amy Stone Sensation Troupe before a good house. It was undoubt edly a love story all the way through, and very well told—a regular' “thrilling narra tive” ol “blood, thunder,” Ac., recited in one evening, and after a good many murders and one hanging the dream passed - away, and the play ended in the midst uf fine fun all oronnd. Tho play gave a good degree of enjoyment though loss so wo judge than tke-pefform- ance of the first ovening. Nearly everybody is familiar with the plot and character of the beautiful Irish drama, and we need add no words of explanation, Mrs. Stono as “Kathleen\ had an opportu nity of displaying her good qualities as an ao- tress. Her part was generally a sad and mel ancholy one, but called out many good speci mens of acting, which were well apprecia ted. Mr. Harrison as “Terenco O'Moore,\ waa the star of tho evening, and noted with fine spirit. The sociability and cleverness of the first act brought out his power to show the domestic nature of the piece to good advan tage while lrUheJ,hu:d__au.d fourth acfa-tha_ sternor and stronger features of the play were the finest display of acting given by any member of the troupo. He was heartily and justly npplandod. Mr. Marston contributed the fun as usual, in his “Billy Bntton Cap.\ Tho domestic drntnn of “Solon Shingle” closed the evening's ontertoiumont, Mr. Mar ston taking tho leading part. As the good- natured “Solon, ” if he did not find hiB barrel of “ apple Bass,\ he discovered the good opin-* of his audience and secured it.
