Although Port Henry led all the way the Saints 'battled bravely but were unable to check the sharp-shootingr basketeers from the Iron city. \ The end of the first half saw ' Port Henry with a two point lead they having garnered a total of 14 » points while St. John's Secured 12. As the whistle blew ending the third --quarter the visitors had; increased their lead to three points the score standing: at 22— -±9. The final period only served to t Increase the lead field by Port Henry as the local team expended their last amount of energy in a Train attempt to snatch victory from . .defeat Their efforts were fruitless however and the came ended with .another victory for the Miners.
