The next day whil e silting b y th e lire a blood vessel burst in my lungs, and commenced bleedin g very fast—the doctoi happened l o b e near, and. done every thing in his powe r to slop <he bleeding, and finally succeeded-after my losing near a quart from my lungs, and more (mm the arm , Ifut thia di d not last but a fe w hours, my hin^s wer e so spas modic the doclor could not control them, and for lite days and nights continued to bleed, until Here was no hlood to run, whe n it ceased and lefi me so wea k I could scarcely breathe or stir I lav for a Jqng time in one position, until my lungs healed, and I began lo gain a little strength. Bu t about four week s ag o a relapse came on, and I hied again at the longs, an d continued to cough anil raise large quantities or bloorty matter every flay, and wa s rap-1 idly hastening to the grave M> friends and neigli ] bors had giyen u p all hopes, and told me that 1 must die.
