The arrival of King Ed ward’s nephew was made the occasion ol an imposing naval display. All the ware hi pa at Sheernesa were dressed, their crews manned the decks and the usual salute* welcomed the imperial visitor who i n perambulating the promenade deok of the HohenroHern. Berlin, Nov. 8.—Electrical experi ments on tho Zossen-Beriin military railroad, which have been in progress for several weeks, have resulted in demonstrating that a speed of 75 miles sn hour can be maintained without de structive wear of motor* or roadbed. The experiments of 1901, while reach ing a speed of 100 miles an hour, prov ed that running above the rate of 60 miles an hour caused damage to tho roadbed too great for practical pur poses.
