Marion Eustace of Park avenue, who was responsible for the cake sale of St. Christopher's R. C. Church last Saturday, netted a nice sum of money. She wishes to thank her girl friends, who so willingly as- sisted her. Fred Brower of Cornwell avenue, captain of the fishing sea dory, Sil- via, and his mate, Carman, on Mon- day rescued two men who were in a 16 foot sailboat. The mast was split and the boat full of water and drifting out to sea in the storm. Fred always has his eyes open. Mrs. Wherperiey of Milburn ave- nue, who attended to her sick aunt for two weeks, arrived home, hap- pier than when she left, Mr. Shubert and Mr. Duffy, two of Broadway's thespians, were guests of 'Tom!\ Coyne of Eastern Park- way last Sunday.
