Jane Putney, wido w of the late James Ferris, one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of the community, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Hoyt, on Mon day afternoon. She /had been ill for a long time and had received the faith ful and untiring care of her daughter with whom she had 1 made her home for the past' twenty-six years.
