Chant, district health officer of the State Department df Health, with hla office In Mid dletown. The letter, relating to the raw milk ban which has been adopted by Nyack and South Ny ack authorities, reads : *T have rend with •interest on article In The Journal-Nc Wednesday, Nov. 13, concerning the strong recommendation made by you to your Board of Health In support of a pasteurlkatlon ordinance for the Village of Ny ack. You are to be compljnjented for your foresight In recommend ing, an ordinance which should ‘ lock the barh door before the hoi'sa gats out. ’ \The records of the State .De partment of Health now contain Information on a largo number of outbreaks of disease transmitted by raw milk.
