'In addition to 'its weekend '''enric'hmenf' programs, the Suffolk County Farm sponsor'S tours and activities for :school children during the week, ·as well as 'in.;school programs, DeMarco said. \!Some of the children who come here have never seen a live farm ani- mal before,\ she said. The 'arm 'is 'currently home to about 100 head 'Of beef cattle, a large herd of pigs, severallllorses and ponies, and over 30 barnyard gO'als, sheep and geese. A petting area located behimd t\'e farm\s historic hay barn .affords children a close-up look at many of the animals. There is also a pig house on the pren,ises that offers visitors a glimpse of some newborn swine lhat are cute enough to get your mind off the prevailing odor a1 the place ..
