The scene that followed was terrible . AH this time the wrecked train ke ; »t the track , and rushed on to Luke Fiddler station with ii ghtning -like swiftness , two miles down the line Then the eng ine left tho track and the cars telescoped. Here is where the most damage was done. After the vast clouds of dust cleared away the work of rescue com- menced , and in an hour the dead and wounded were taken out How the Runaway Cars S tarted. The cars \ that caused the wreck started from the Excelsior collier y , two miles east of Coal Run switch. There were four cars >ta n ding on the siding below the colliery, end it is supposed that some boys , in order to cbtaia a ride , uncou p led the two and loosened the brakes. When nearin g a patent switch leadin g to the main track the brak es were put on , but tb .3 biys being unable to ti ghten them enough became fri g h tened , jumped i .ff and took to the woods. Wr e cking crews are now on the scene ot the disaster and will have the rood open for traffic by morning. The railroad will sus- tain a loss of $15 , 000 . Blai u e , Jr., is at Point Lookout cotta ge , ad- joining the Long Beach hotel , preparing fo t her debut on the stage iu October next . In an interview s he esplained that she was going on the stage to earn a living for herself and little bo y.
