Perkins were guests of honor at a surprise party on March 4 held at the Middle Falls firehouse to celebrate their 23rd wed ding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Perkins were mar ried March 4,1956, in the Granville United Method ist church. Mr. Perkins is the son of the late Harry and Maude Perkins, and his wife, Betty, is the daugh- têr of Clara Casey and the late Floyd Casey. They are the parents of five sons, Richard R., Timothy, Peter, Scott and Kyle. They have one grandson, Richard R. Jr. The party was given by their niece, Juanita’ Boyce, and their daugh ter-in-law, Mardi Jo Perk ins. A buffet luncheon was served to the 65 friends and relatives attending. Present at the celebration were four generations, Clara Casey, her daugh ter, Betty Casey Perkins; Mrs. Perkins son, Rich ard, and his son, Richard Jr. The honored couple were taken to the party by Mr. and Mrs, ¿Kenneth Tracy Jr. |- - - The Greenwich Fire department responded to two alarms last within mintites of each other. The first alarm was received at 10:02 a.m. Wednesday- The depart ment’s assistance \was requested for a pump out. U-100 was dispatched . with eleven , men present under the direction of Chief Wayne Perkins. Equipment returned. to the station at 11:30 a.m. The second alarm was received at 11:38 a.m. for a fire at a home on Hill street extension. Three trucks responded iinder the direction of Captain Leo Flynn •■with 19 men. No fire was found upon arrival and the call was listed as a good intent call. All units were reported back in station in service at 11:53 a.m! we stand behind our work.
