Al though Sean is not inter ested in hunting he is curious about any creature that holds its ground: For quite a spell I couldn't see what the game was. Then it moved a little and when 1 got closer it turned out to . be a newly hatched woodcock. As long as I had taken over Sean -wandered off and left mg in charge. This infant was about the funniest animal you can imagine. Half fuzz and a little short feathered tail and tiny ‘feathers where the wings will be. He started to >nove several times but tipped over on his beak, which was the longest part of his anatomy. In the mean time Sean put out the hen bird and she came bar reling straight at me. I decided it was best to -leave, and I walked care fully so as not to disturb any other infants. Sean and I finished our hike.
