A different kind of Mothers day was ob served this past Sunday as the Little League and womens softball teams held their annual parade and festivities. A colorful parade, led by the youth ful Green Sabres Bugle -and Drum corps, wound its way up Main street and -then to- the inttlrieagaB~ field. The program was dedicated to the youths who play ball there and to their mothers, who all wefe given a carnation as they were introduced with 'their sons or daughters. Guest speaker was Big Mac from TV ChannelH. Mac tried to impress the youths with the fact that the program is run for them by the community and how lucky they were for having such a fine program that includes ' *V' ... With victories, over Salem and Hoosick Falls, the Greenwich JV softball team extended its winning streak to 14. All members of the team played in both games and the scores still were lopsided. The Salem game was played at home and was won 29 to 7. After. giving MacTavish--the' win and thè money they reviewed the films and found that MacTavish had indeed fouled Mongeon’s horse and they gave Del five days.
