H a r tnett, State C o m m issioner of M o tor Vehicles, in the hope of c h a n g ing the law in this respect. M r. Strivings recently w rote to M a r k Graves, State Tax C o m m ission er, explaining- the difficulty. In reply Com m issioner Graves sug gested Mr. Strivings get in touch w ith A s s e m b lym a n Lewis G. Stapley, head o f the legislative com m ittee w h ich Is to m a k e recom m e n d a tions to the next legislature regarding changes in the law . Com m issioner Graves inform e d Mr. Strivings th a t the head of the stati- m o tor vehicle bure&u is w ith o u t a u tho r it y in the n a t t e r of changing the law .
