His songs from The Molly Maguires have been performed and recorded by stars of over 30 Broadway and movie musicals. An album of music from the show was recorded by legendary record producer Arif Mardin. As a musician and musical director, Sid has worked on a number o f Broadway and off-Broad- way shows and arranged, orchestrated and written original material for countless corporate industrial shows. Frank Gambino has been a member of ISS for over 10 years. His songwriting ranges from the comical to the philosophical. With Sonny Speed he has put out two CD’s: Backin' Out Ass First and If Ignorance is Bliss How Come You’re So Sadi Dave Anthony (Setteducati) played his first professional, paying gig back in 1963, and he’s still performing at ven ues all around the Long Island area. Dave took fourth place in the Winter 2009 Guitar Player Magazine International Competition, and has three CDs available on CD Baby: Solitaire for Guitar, My Guitar and Bluesy Tunes. Su zanne’s music represents a search for meaning in the mundane and spiritual aspects of her own life, and the lives of those around her. Lois Morton began writ ing songs in the late sixties, and at the suggestion of Pete Seeger, had several topical songs published in Broadside Magazine. She currently focuses on hu m o rous songs of social com m e n tary. H e r song Confessions o f a Clutter- holic received a standing ovation at the N ational Conference o f Professional Organizers. Lois debuted a one-woman cabaret show in 2008 at Don’t Tell Mama in M anhattan. The same year, she released her CD, As I See It, Lois’ multicul tural repertoire includes songs in several languages, with a special emphasis on French and the songs of Edith Piaf. Walt Sargent, Director of the ISS, is an eclectic sing er-songwriter with an origi nal voice, alternately soft, strong, somber or whimsi cal. With influences from reggae and jazz to classical and popular, Walt reminds us som etimes of M artin Sexton or John Gorka. Walt has published 2 CDs, won a national songwriting com petition and co-wrote the school song for Dowling College. Adm ission is $10 and doors open at 7 p.m. The show begins at 7:30 with a half hour open mic. Our featured performers start at 8:00.
