The footwear will be distributed to local ch ild r e n and adults in need. The items should be tied together with a ribbon and a small toy, beanie, candies or Valentine’s treat. Cards are great too. New and almost-new shoes, sneakers and boots, as well as slippers and socks in all sizes are welcome. If you still have the box, decorate it and put the shoes back in it. U.S. Coast Guard boating course offered in West Babylon The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be holding its’three-session America’s Boating C o u rse for the general public at West Babylon High School in March. T h e cou r s e w ill be tau g h t by highly qualified instructors from Flotilla 01-01. The topics to be covered include: Introduction to Boating, B o a ting Law, Boating Safety Equipment, Safe Boating, Navigation, Boating Problems andTrailering. The total program is 8-hours long a n d classe s w ill be h e ld on th r e e consecutive W e d n esday nights from 7 p.m. till 9:45 p.m . each night.
