Taking advantage of the last skiing of the winter were many groups from Babvlon and West Islip. MR. AND MRS. \. GIST LAM DIN spent \ a week recently at Pico Peak in Vermont with MR. AND MRS. AL HECKLE. They joined a large group from Babvion at Killington which included MR. AND . MRS. ROGERS HOWELL. MR. AND MRS. JAMES SWAN and their sons JIM and JOHN and their guests JOHN RYAN of Baby lon and BLAKE GILMORE of West Islip. Over last weekend there was good skiing at Butternu t in Grea t Barrington. It was thoroughly enjoyed by MR. AND MRS. JOSEPH YOUNG and their children MEGAN. PETER and STEVEN. MRS. ED RICKETTS and her daughters ALLISON and SUE (Sue is a student at North- field School in Northfield , Mass. ) , and MRS. ROBERT PASCII and her daughter ROBIN. They are all from Baby lon . MR. AND MRS. RALSTON HAYDEN and their sons JOE and BOBBY were among the West Islip people there , as well as MR. AND MRS. JUDD HOGAN and MRS. JACK McGEEHAN , with daughters DEBBIE and JUDY. Old friends of the Haydens , MR. AND MRS. FRED COMLOSSY and sons JEFF and CHRIS, of Rye , New York , joined the group for the weekend. At Stratton Mou n tain in Vermont were MR. AND MRS. LOUIS ORR of West Islip, who were guests of their daughter and son-in-law , MR. AND MRS. PAUL SCHWINDT , who have a home in Bondville , Vermont. MR. AND MRS. CHARLES FAAS of West Islip and their son TOMMY spent a few days skiing at Mt. S now , Vermont. With them were MRS. ROY PRUDDEN and sons NORMAN and ROY and MR. AND MRS. WARREN WINTER and daughter LISA , all of Baby lon. MRS. GORTO N BALDWIN of West Islip Road held the monthly meeting of the.Southside Hospital Senior Auxiliary at her home on Monday. KRISTIN LAWRENCE of West Islip Road , a s tudent at Colby Junior College , New London , N.H., enjoyed Winter Carnival Weekend at Dartmouth last weekend. She was the guest of Pet er Brober;: of Palm Beach. Florida. DR. WILLIAM I \GAN (if Babylon was the guest of honor at a large dinner party at his home to celebrate his 50th birthday. THE ROBERT KEESHANS (Captain Kangaroo) of Baby lon have recently returned from a p leasant two weeks on a Caribbean Cruise . JOHN BYRNS of Wes t Islip celebra ted his birthday over the weekend and was give n a famil y dinner party in his hono r bv his mother , MRS. RICHARD S. BYRNS of Oakley Place. THE PAST PRESIDENTS MEETING OF THE AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY. POST NO. 94 was held on Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. George Miller. Attending were ; Mrs. Charles Birs , Mrs. Alfred Downs , Mrs. Charles Ferris . Mrs. Michael Lyons , Mrs . Pat- rick Reily, and Mrs. Thomas Ruhlman. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Al- fred Downs. THE BABYLON TRAVELERS CLUB held its ninth meeting on February 2nd at the home of Mrs. Fred Bell in West Baby lon. Nineteen members responded to roll call. The interesting program \A Capita l Withou t a Country \ by Mrs . Campbell and \Unsettled Perilous Futu re \ , by Mrs . Pointer traced the rise of Berlin from the ashes of World War II and the dramatic building of the Berlin Wall . The resulting division of the Germa n people in that city and the different conditions tha t followed were graphically contrasted. Slides of that time in Berlin were show n and discussion followed as to the future of the city . Delicious refreshments and a social hour were enjoyed by all. TINA COPITHORN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes Copi thorn of Robbins Avenue has received notice of her acceptance to Ripon College in Wisconsin. Tina is a senior at Baby lon High School. The members of the SENIOR METHODIST YOUTH FELLOW- SHIP will spend the holiday weekend at Camp Quinapet on Shelter Island. They will be accompanied by several of the adult members of the church. MRS. HELEN BLAU of Wigwam Path celebrated her birthday on February 14th . She marked the occasion at a joint celebra tion with her granddaughter Janie Hanish who recently celebra ted her 16th birthday.
