Federal consent has been ob- tained by Mr. Freeman and he now seeks the consent of the Canadian government and New York state. The legislature a year ago approved the proposition but the bill was vetoed by Governor Smith. , Mr. Freeman proposes to organize a company which would construct the bridge. After a term of years during which tolls would be collected the structure would become public property. It is said that such a bridge would prove popular with tourists visiting Canada and that it would eliminate many miles from the present routes. OBITUARY Edward J.
