The Pilgrim Holiness Church \n its 1966 International Confer- ence, ratified the merger pro- posal by a more than 75 per- cent majority, and the Gener- al Conference of the Wesleyan Methodist Church gave it a tnore than 79 percent majority. The vote of the Wesleyai* Meth-| odists on the conference and lo- cal church levels, were virtual- ly identical. The constitution of the Pilgrim Holiness Church • gives ijull. authority to the In- ternational Conference. FIRST NATIONAL f BANK fore, there were no., votes tak- en on the district and local levels.' The merged group will be called the Wesleyan Church. The Pilgrim'Holiness Church with headquarters in Indiana- polis, and the Wesleyan Meth- odist Church, with headquar- ters in Marion, bith in Indiana, plan for the merging general conference to be convened on June 25, 1968, in Anderson, In- diana. The' conference sessions will be held in the renowned Warner Auditorium-. —It-is-- to be noted^ that- the Wesleyan Methodist Chur c h, which had its origin in 1943, accomplished merger in 1966 with the Reformed Baptist Church. The Pilgrim Holiness Church dates its beginning from 1897. This merged church will have an aggregate of 2,117_| churches; in all six continents missionary activity is carried on; 3,701 ministers; 259 mis- sionaries; and nine colleges in the Unjted States. It merg e s two publishing houses w h o se business is 'publishing- religious periodicals. Eight publications are mailed to 31 ebuntries. The decision to merge brings to a conclusion active negotia- tions which have been engaged M, since 1954. The two groups come togeth- er with complete una'nimity on all cardinal doctrines. A dis- tinctive of both groups is the Biblical doctrine of Christian holiness. The organizational and administrative structures are not divergent. It is believ- ed that the actual merging of theological statements, pro- grams, institutions, administra- tive systems and boundary lines can be accomplished in a minimum amount of time and without difficulty. If you want life insurance that you can change as often as your way of life changes... ...the man from Nationwide is on your side. Nationwide thinks it's crazy thatyou should have to buy a whole new policy every time you need more or less life insurance. That's why Nationwide invented its Adjustable Life Plan. You can change your coverage as often as your way of life changes —but without all the fuss of having a new policy written.Yoii simply add new coverage to your present policy. Example: Each time you have a child, your responsibilities as a breadwinner increase so you need more insurance. The man from Nationwide lets you add insur- ance on yourself to your existing policy. But then as your children grow older, get married and become less dependent, he lets you decrease your insurance if you care.to. Nationwide's Adjustable Life-Plan lets you add or subtract nine benefits. But no matter how many times you change your coverage, you never have to pay to have a brand-new policy written. It's 'simple. It saves you money. And it's one more way the man from Nationwide is on your side. Nationwide Insurance The man from Nationwide is on your side. LIFE • HEALTH * HOME • CAR • BUSINESS.
