A four foot wide concrete walk has been laid on the west side of the church and a three foot wide walk will be built from the front of the church to the parsonage, which is next door, and the driveway and parking lot have been covered with crushed stone. The small en- closed porch at the side entrance to Fellowship hall has been removed, adding much to the attractiveness of the surroundings. Many of our citizens have been visiting the races at historic Saratoga Springs race track. However, none of them have made a showing of any money they have won at the track. • In these days of jazz, rock 'n' roll f and jitterbug coming in over the radio 'and television almost continuously what a joy and comfort it is to listen to the Community; church chimes at noon and 7 o'clock in the evening playing those beautiful; old hymns, which have stood -the test of time, s.uch as \Abide With Me,\ \Whisper- ing Hope,\ \All Through, the Night,\ ^Saviour Breathe an Evening Bless- in,\ \Crossing^-the Bar,\ and many Others. Pastor Rhodes takes much interest in. the automatic roll player and uses good judgment in selecting the hymns. A good way for anyone desiring to make a small contribution to the welfare ,of the church would be to donate a few of these music rolls. The pastor has a list of the hymns now on hand as well as a large number of others that are on sale.
