A group of 4-H,and FFA boys worked on fair exhibits at the school the same evening. This show is second largest in N. Y. S., next to the State Fair. Friend Shultes and Mark Cole and Misses Belva and Barbara Boyden are spending a week camping at Crown Point. MEMfTH IMPORTS Circle, Latham dairy breeds, pudged classes of cat tie, looked over the barns and farms, and were briefed on the type of farm- ing, newer methods used, and good farm management practices by the owners. A recording was made and the tour explained over the WGY Farm Program. August 1, 'Emil Horl, representing the agricultural advisory hoard and the school board of the Berne-Knox Central school, and Dr. Harold Noakes of the State Department of Education, accompanied D. H. Boy- den, Berne-Knox agricultural teach- er, on ore of his regularly scheduled visits to the farms of high school I boys taking agriculture and to the 'farms of young men who are out of school. Some of the farms visited showed such activities as the sampl- ing of soils on four different fields for a complete soil analysis, in- spection of 30 acres of oats the boy is growing on his own and records toeing kept, combining wheat and dis- cussion of a weed problem, inspecting a wood lot and discussing the part of the district forester in estimating the amount of timber, remodeling a barn, the record keeping of the father's farm business, and the top dressing of a Sudan pasture with nitrogen fer- tilizer for a second growth pastor. In the evening, Dr. Noakes attended the agricultural advisory board meet- ing as well as J. Bove, new guidance counselor, and Theodore Means, who explained the hunning of a horse show. This show is being considered as an addition to the community fair. Each agricultural department has an advisory board. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONS TO AND RECONSTRUCTION OF THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM OF THE VILLAGE OF ALTAMONT, NE W YORK, AT A TOTAL ESTIMATED COST OF $130,000, AN D AUTHOR- IZING THE ISSUANCE OF $123,500 SERIAL BONDS OF SAID VILLAGE AND THE ISSUANCE OF $6,500 CAPITAL NOTES OF SAID VILLAGE TO PAY THE COST THEREOF. BE I T RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Altamont, Al- bany County, New York, as follows: Section 1. Th e construction of addi-, tions to an d reconstruction of the sani- tary sewer system of the Village of Al- tamont, Ne w York, including a sewage treatment plant, land an d rights of land, and furnishings, equipment, machinery and apparatus, is hereby authorized. Section 2. Th e estimated maximum cost of the aforesaid object or purpose is $130,000. The plan of financing there- of is as follpws: a) From the issuance of $6,500 capital notes of said Village, which are hereby authorized to be issued, and all further powers in connection with th e details an d sale of said capital notes are hereby delegated to th e Village Treasurer of said Village of Altamont, New York, in conformity with law; and b) From the issuance of $123,500 serial bonds of said Village, here- inafter authorized. Section 3. To pa y part of the cost of the aforesaid object or purpose, there are hereby authorized t6 be issued $123,- 500 serial bonds of said Village of Al- tamont, New York, and further details pertaining to said bonds will be pre- scribed in a further resolution or resolu- tions 'of this Board of Trustees. Section +. Subject to the provisions of the Local Finance Law , the power to authorize 'the issuance of and to sell bond anticipation notes in anticipation of the issuance an d sale of the serial bonds herein authorized, including renewals of such notes, is hereby delegated to the Village Treasurer, the chief fiscal officer. Such notes shall be of such terms, form and contents, and shall be sojld in such manner, as may be prescribed by said Village Treasurer, consistent with the provisions of the Local Finance Law . Section 5. I t is hereby determined that the period of probahle usefulness of the aforesaid object or purpose is thirty years, pursuant to subdivision 4 of paragraph a of Sedtlon 11.00 of the Local Finance Law . Section 6. It Is hereby further de- termined that the proposed maturity of the bonds herein authorized will be in excess of five years. Section 7. It i s hereby further de- termined that the aforesaid capital notes in the amount of $6,500 will .be issued and sold prior to the issuance and sale of any bonds or bond anticipation notes relating to the aforesaid object or pur- pose.
