Enforcement of the order in the rural areas has not been strict in re- cent years, but the new order will be followed' by a countywide drive against night-roaming dogs, county officials told the state department. The curfew was imposed by Dan- iel J. Carey, state commissioner of agriculture and markets, for a period of a year and is renewable yearly if the Board of Supervisors requests.
