Directors Chuck and Ann Feinstein developed the Camp Kenwal philosophy which th.ey live by. It is based on the simple statement one o.f their younger campers, who said: \I didn't win, but I did my best.\ Chuck, a retired Minnesota Twins pitcher and school coach, has been involved with day camps, and bis wife, Ann, who has twenty years experience in camps, cultivate that philosophy in all their campers. \Our entire staff, from directors to group leaders, are very much aware that the Camp Kenwal definition of a successful day camp is one that will cultivate the camper's desire to participate, have fun and try their best,\ the Feinsteins say. \Years of working with children has taught us that self esteem is the reward for participating, without the pressure of having tQ win. We believe that all campers at Camp Kenwal are in their own way and at their own level, a winner.\ Activities .at Ca:Qtp Kenw31 include swimming and arts and crafts activities, above, plus count- less other sports and spedai interest activities. - The camp is .set on 20 magnificent acres Where fun, sports, discovery, adventure, nature and friendship can be enjoyed. Activities include swimming, softball and baseball, tennis, arts and crafts activities, games soccer. The first rate facilities include three heated pools, four large ballfields, a go-cart speedway, well equipped playgrounds, indoor game rooms, movie areas, a miniature golf course, archery range and much more. There's an amphitheater for dramatic productions and a fully equipped photography lab. Campers are grouped in small teams to ensure maximum attention from counselors during activities. Programs are available for a full range of age groups starting with Camp Kenwal hosts sports stars as part of its special events programs. . - pre-school and kindergarten though teen.
