If liquids are prescribed, a thermos of juice, a bottle of soda ^ pop with ; opener, clean paper cups, a pile of paper napkins, could be kept on the table, a wastepaper baskk near it. He can then help hinrself instead of call ing mother whenever he wants a drink. The same table can hold a selection of books, pencils,‘paper, a pair of scissors, two or three games, 'a deck of cards, a radio. Coloring books and crayons are helpful for a young child. Mother might set aside several times a day for playr ing with the sickling or reading to him.
