The New York Association of Convenience Stores (NYACS) has announced its involvement in Governor Mario Cuomo's Traffic Safety Committee and Department of Motor Vehicles holiday campaign \Play it Safe.\ With the name of rap star Hammer, Play it Safe has designed a game to remind drivers and younger family members how important and simple traffic safety can be. A press conference on the campaign was held at Sugar Creek on Scoursville Road December 15, \We're proud to be a part of this important promotion,\ said Sugar | Creek President Kevin Fox. Also present were: Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) President and former Gates resident Christine Humphery, members of the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee, the New York State Association of Convenience Stores and Rochester Americans Hockey Club. The game is on a colorful poster featuring Hammer, and is available at participating convenience stores or by writing to: Play it Safe, DMV Communications, Empire State Plaza, Albany, NY 12228. Players move from space to space on the gare board by rolling a die and following instructions such as: «You have volunteered to be a designated driver. Take another turn. «You had too much to drink at a friend's house and you called a cab. Move ahead one space. «When pulled over, your seat belt was not on; fined $50. Lose a tum. *You used studded tires from October 16 through April 30 only, as state law requires. Move ahead one space. «Your child is two years old and in a federally certified child safety seat. Move ahead three spaces. The first player who makes it \home\ by playing it safe is the winner. Lutheran Church of Our Saviour Services The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 2415 Chili Avenue, will celebrate Christmas Eve with three special Worship Services on December 24. Two Christmas Eve Family Candlelight Carol Services are scheduled for 5 and 7 p.m. A Christmas Eve Festival _ Candlelight Service with Holy Communion will be held at 11 p.m. Karen DeRuyscher, organist and director of music at Our Saviour, has arranged special music for all three services. Mrs. DeRuyscher and Al Saucke will play organ and piano duets at all three services. Their pieces include Gaflliford's It Came Upon A Midnight Clear, Kirkpatrick's The Manger - Medley and Koury's Joy to the World, yig o Car- Choir will present two pieces at both the 5 and 11 p.m. Services -Dona Nobis Pacem and Joy 10 the World. Members of the Handbell Choir include Barbara Cabic, Beth Cario, Jaime Castrichini, Debra DeVantier, Jennifer Forsey, Marlene Kallstrand, Leona Kelso, Sharon Marlowe, Carol Ransom and Joan Shoop. Our Saviour's Senior Choir will sing at the 11 p.m. Festival Candlelight Service of Holy Communion. The Senior Choir is comprised of Beth Cario, Bettie Curry, Barbara Cabic, Debra DeVantier, Karen Ellison, Marlene and - Robert Kalistrand, Larry Kitts, Dave Marlowe, Sharon Marlowe, Bob Meyer, Gene Northrop, Deborah Parry, Joyce Perkins, Carol Ransom, Al Saucke and «Joan Shoop Their pisses - include A Manger Carol, Cantique De Noel and The Joy of Christmas. The Junior Choir of Our Saviour will sing at the 7 p.m. Family Service. Jennifer Forsey, Jennifer De Vantier, Jaime Castrichini, Alison Keller, Bobby DeVantier, Eric Marlowe and Rebecca Shannon are members of the Choir. They will sing Run to the Manger and Light a Candle. The Rev. Paul E. Shoop, pastor of Our Saviour, will deliver the sermons at all three Christmas Eve services. At the 5 and 7 p.m. Services his sermon is entitled \On. This Night.\ \Only in the Quietness....\ is the sermon at the 11 p.m. Service. Assisting with the services will be Richard .
