Thomas is confined to her home on Apalachin road by injuries received in an automobile accident Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. .Thomas were riding with Mrs. Thomas' brother, George Mikels, When the car skidded and overturn ed on the highway 'pur miles east of Owego. Mr. Thomas was thrown from the car into the ditch and the car fell over him. He was badly bruised and shaken. Mrs. Thomas received a badly cut hand and suf fered from shock- Se was taken to Ideal hospital where several stitches were taken to close the wound in her hand and then re moved to her home. Mrs. W. I. Telford of Greene ami Miss Elizabeth Bodie of Endi cott visited Mrs. Fred Fritts last weclc Mr. and Mrs. Barry Clark and son, Harold, and Mrs. Mildred Cowing were in Syracuse Sunday. Betty Denman, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Ralph Denman, has been seriously ill at the home of her parents. Mrs. Rolland Jenner and son, Holland, Jr., are visiting Mrs. Jen- ner's mother, Mrs. Mable Vart- Gorder in Syracuse. Charles Barroh of Elmira is! spending several days at the home of his uncle, George Shamberger of front street. Mrs. Elizabeth Mosher has re turned to her home from Bingham ton, where she was ill for several weeks at the home of her sister. Miss Catherine Bolton of Johnson City is staying with Mrs. Mosher. The Vestal Parent-Teacher asso ciation is sponsoring a parent and teachers get together masquerade party at the schoolhouse tonight. Mrs. Clifton Rose has charge of the entertainment, assisted by Mrs. Clarence Bond, Mrs, Law rence Wilcox and Mrs. Raymond Edgerton. Mrs. W D. Rowley of Hawley- ton is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Finch of Binghamton road.
