A trial was had in Boston, last- week, of car couplers, Among other exhibits was 'The Barnes Automatic Car Coupler This Coupler has been in use on the Rochester & Pittsburg R. R., since June lust. Two cars, with the- Barnes Coupleraftived, were loaded near Pitte_ burg, came on to Rochester, then over the New York Central R. R. to Albany; then over the Boston & Albany to Boston.
