Patricia Penfield B;lrtlebaugh, 75, of Leroy F. Fox Leroy \Lee\ F. Fox, 72, of Brocton, N.Y., died on Sept. 29, 2011 at Brooks Memorial Hospital follow- ing a courageous battle with lung cancer. Lee was born on May 21, 1939 in Olean to the late Rex and Frances (Milks) Fox. He was a U.S. Military Veteran serving with the U.S. Army from July 14, 1958 until July 14, 1961. After basic training, Lee was assigned to Campbell Army Airfield in Fort Campbell, Ky. Later, he was transferred to Fort Lee, Va., where he trained as a petroleum spe~;ialist in charge of the flight line and refueling aircrafts. After 31 months, he was transferred into the National Guard where he was assigned to the NYSNG 127th Armored where he remained until he was honorably discharged with rank of Sgt. Lee had a love for animals and had many pets over the years, his m.ost recent being his beloved dog, \Doc.\ · He is survived by his loving companion of 20 years Eileen Baldridge, his son Layne (Peggy) Fox, daughter Lynette Fox, daughter-in-law Kim Fox and Kimberly, Shannon and 'John (Tricia) Baldridge, eight grandchil- dren, Myrrhy·nda Nati, Jenni, Mathew, Heather, Christian, Brandyn, Lindsey and Austyn Fox, two step-grande hildren, Robert and Christopher Lefave, one great-grand- child, N~taleigh Fox, one sister, Eileen (Fox) Furness and Cliff (Carol) Carey. He was preceded in death by his parents Rex and Frances Fox, his sister Norma (Dan) Larson, his brother-in-law Ed Furness and his son Leroy \Skip\ Fox. ••••• Stephen C. Frye Stephen C. Frye, 54, of Eiden Road Mayville, died unexpectedly Thursday Sept. 29, 2011 in the Wellsboro Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. He was born November 7, 1956 in Niagara Falls, N.Y. the son of Charles a:· and Hazel I. Dobson Frye. Steve attended Chautauqua High School and later studied black- smithing. He was a dairy farmer for ten years and worked as a blacksmith. He also along with ·his father ran a saw mill. Steve wa's currently working for Zandera Resources in Mansfield, PA, dr.illing wells in the Wellsboro area. While in high school he played drums and throughout 'his life partici- pated in several pool leagues. He loved all ani- mals, especially his horses and his pets; hunting, and motorcycles. Surviving besides his parents of Stedman are three children, Justin, Jennifer, and Julie Frye all of Sherman. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Horne. The Rev. Bargerstock, 80, of 956 Swede Rd., Panama, died Sunday (Oct. 2, 2011) in UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa. He was born March 2, 1931 in New Bethlehem, Pa.; the son of Robert H. and Mary M. Galbraith Bargerstock. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served from Dec. 28, 1950 to May 31, 1954. He had been employed as a union painter, and was a former president of the local painters' union. He was a life member of both the Arnvets and John W. ..Tiffany Post 53, Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he had been a mem- ber of the firing squad. He retired from the DPD as a desk sergeant. Lee went on to the Fredonia Pol ice Department and continued to serve his community as a dispatcher from Oct. 17, 1990 until Jan. 1, 1998. After retirement, Lee Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at II a.m. and were officiated by the Rev. Morrison. Military services will be conducted by the John W. Dill Brocton American Legion Post 434. Friends and family were invited to call on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the fam- ily asks that donations be made in his name to the Seven Day Forecast TODAY .
