Lieutenant Roche has also received letters from nearby towns telling him where hootch is manufactured. One of the letters was from a man in the vicin- ity of Lily Dale, where nothing but good \spirits'\ are supposed to hover Another was from a farmer asking about a transaction in a stock deal. It appears the farmer was called on the telephone by someone in New York city a short time ago, and the stock salesman at the other end of the line said he had a hot tip from those on the inside concerning a stock he recommended the farmer to buy on a margin and whch was due for a sharp advance. Roche told him that perhaps the fellow who gave him the tip was a seer trying to out-guess those on the inside, but in any event, the top was of the same kind as those sent out by ace track touts who are supposed to get their information di- rect from the feed boxes in the sta- bles. The farmer was advised to keep his money. FACT NO. 1—A Fordson Tractor means SHORTER HOURS on the farm, saving from 30 to 50 per cent, of th£ farmer's time.
