During tho past year tho orde r has paid $405 to sick members , $125 for funera l claims , and now has a fund on hand , be- long ing to tbo several departments , of $1 , - 207.44. Two members died during the past year. : Monday evening the Court held its fifth annual entertainment , at Masonic Ball , nearl y all the members being presen t , to- gether with about one hundred invited guests. Tho occasion was a very enjoy- able one , tho programme , g iven below , being rendere d in two parts , and bo well wero tho songs , recitations , etc., rendered , that near l y every ono was called out on encore. Between the two ports ot the progra mme camo tho supper , which was an exceeding l y bountiful spread for so large a crowd , furnished by, ' tho res- taurant of J. S. C. Gar diner, and well en- joyed by the partici pants , jud g ing from mirth and repartee indu l ged in over the board j and during the supper , a series of songs and drama was constantl y put on the . staM not put down on the following eroqbamme : FAST FXBST. Lowery & Seel y Closing Ode Court Montuuk So interesting was tho entertainment throu g hout , that prett y much the entire company stayed until the close of the pro- gramme , which was not until after the clock marked the hour of one. The special meeting of the stockholders of the Eaton Dial Manufacturin g Company called throu g h the columns of the Ex . press , was held last Friday afternoon , at tho office of tho company. This meeting was for tho pur pose of increasing tho cap ital stock from $7 , 000 to $15 , 000, so as to enable the company to increase its p lant and turn out tho work more rap idl y . The report as to the condition of the com- pany was so favorable , that a motion to incr ease tho cap ital was immediatel y car- ried , when all the stockholders present then and there increased their amount of stock. Tho company has a prospect of doing a very large business , as tho quality of goods is hi g hl y approved by loading watch compan ies and lar go orders havo alread y boon p laced , one company alone having p laced an order for 1 , S00 dials a day. A limited amount of this stock can now bo procur ed of F. B. Glover , at tho office of tho company, or of F. H. Palmer at Fecenic Bank. i i Wri.
