Tht attention of all officers who have been honorably discharged on account of wounds or disability, and who desire to re- enter the service In the LTVALID Cows, is called to the pro- visions of General Orders, No. 105, of 1883, from the War Department, published In the papers throughout the coun- try. Such officers are requested to comply promptly with the provisions of that order, and to send their written appli- cations, as therein provided, for positions in the Invalid Corps, (stating the character of their disability,) with as little delay as possible, to the Acting Assistant Prevost Marshal General of the State In which they may be. Such Acting Assistant Provost Marshal General will at dnce for- ward the applications, wltb'hlsIndorsement, to the Provost Marshal General at Washington. Officers for tbe Invalid Corns will be appointed .Immedi- ately upon furnishing the papers required by General Order No. 105, of 1868t from the War Department. Their pay and emoluments will commence from date of acceptance of snch appointment, and not from date of organisation of the re- spective commands to which they may be assigned. J. B. Only those faithful soldiers, who, from wounds o r the hard- ships of war, are no longer St for active Held duty, will be received in this Corps of Honor, Enlistments will be for three years unless sooner discharged. Pay and allowances same ss for officers and men of tbe United States Infantry; except that no premiums or bonnty for enlistment) will bs al- lowed. This will not Invalidate any pensions or bounties which may be due for previous services. The following uniform has been adopted for officers and men of the Invalid Corps: POR OFFICERS.—Frock coat—Of sky-blue cloth, with dark-bine velvet collar and cuffs; In all other respects, ac- cording to the present pattern for officers of Infantry. 8houlder straps—According to present regulation, but worked on dark-blue velvet. Pantaloons^—Of slcy-blns cloth, with donble stripe of dark- bluo cloth down the outer seam, each stripe one-balf Inch wide, with space between of three-eighths of an inch. Forage caps—Present regulation. FOR ENLISTJBD MEN.—Jacketr-Qf sky-blue kersey, with dark-blue trimmings, cot like the cavalry jacket, to come well down on the abdomen. Trowsers—Present regulation, sky-blue. Forage cap—Present regulation. Men who are still In service and unable to perform affec- tive field duty, may be transfered to this corps. Medical Inspectors, Surgeons in charge of Hospitals, Mili- tary Commanders, and all others having authority to dis- charge, under existing laws and regulations, are forbidden to grant discharges, to any men under their control who may be fit for service In the invalid Corps. For the convenience of service, the men will be selected for three gfades of duty. Those who are most effective and able-bodied, and capable of performing guard duty, etc, etc., will be armed wlthmuskets, and assigned to companies of the First Battalion. Those of tbe next degree of efficien- cy. Including those who have lost a hand or an arm; and the least effective. Including those who have lost a foot or leg, to tbe companies of thejSecond and Third Battalions; they wfll be armed with sworps. Besolred, (if the Assembly concur), That the following Amendment be proposed to the Constitution of this Bute: There shall be added to the sixth article of the Constitu- tion, of this State, as tho twenty-sixth section thereof, tbe following: Whenever, aod as soon as this Amendment to the Consti- tution shall take effect, the Governor shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consenl*of the Senate, appoint Ave persons, commissioners of appeals, who shall have power to; hear and determine all appeals then depending in the Court of Appeals, which may be transferred to them by said court, and shall have all the general powers of a Court of Record for that purpose.
