A farm near Clyde, bolonging to tho estate of the late Hon. J. H Camp of Lyons, was recently pur chased by David Lake of Galen U. B, Anthony and family moved on Thursday, into the house of Josi ah Worden. occupying the first floor; Mr. Wonlon's people living on tho second floor. At the Prohibition county conven tion held in Newark, Tuesday, T. J Bussey and M. N. Wilson of Mace don, wore elected delegates to tho state convention. The change of time on tho New York Central railroad, Monday, affected only the eastbound accom modation, which now arrives nine minutes earlier than before. Mrs. Ilattie Brown and daughter Miss Cora, of Oswego, visited their aunt, Mrs. P. C. Johnston, a fow /'Idays in the past week. They were on their return from the world's fair. The Erie canal has this year car- led 20,000,000 bushels of grain out of Buffalo. This is twice tho amount; for the same length of time last year, Mr. Montgomery Douglass, of Grangeville, California, has spent tho past week with W, P. Jonah Seaman and family left last Wednesday afternoon for their home n New York City. Mrs. William Carman, went last Monday to Attica, to visit her sister Mrs. Geo. Carman, will return Sat urday. Quite a number from here joined the Supervisor picnic from here on Thursday for Bonnie Oastlc, Edwin Green and wife, of Eau Claire, Wis. who hrve been some time visiting in Rhode Island arrived the Green homestead last Wednesday evening on their way home. Mrs. Mary J, Bisscll, of Rochester, will attend a mothers' meeting of the W. C. T. U. held on the regnlar day of meeting in the Orthodox Friends' church Aug 30th at 3 P. M.
