Its fountain head is in the Central Railroad.— They fear this source of competition with their Southern neighbors. Before conclu ding action on this bill the Senate adjourn ed. I n tbb H ouse —The great question of was tlie balling upp of the to adjourn from the day tesvlotion Thursday, u Tuesday to and inserting Wednesday for Thursday, after which the resolution was adopted. I am happy to say that the mem ber from Yates opposed this measure, be- j lieving that time enough had already been fooled away in doing nothing, bntthe Hin doos succeeded, and have departed^ squads for the scene of carnage in Phil^Wphia. The bill making an appropriation to the State Agricultural College was reported from the committee without amendment.— ♦ Several other local bills were reported, and as many introduced as has been acted on by both Houses so far this session. An ex tra Session appears now almost inevitable, as the business now before the Legislature cannot be done judictiusly in the time al lotted ot this session. M onday — In the S en ate — A number of bills were acted on in committee of the whole, and ordered to a third reading, in 'eluding a bill to increase the pay of Judges 'of the Court of Appeals, and of the Judic iary from $2,600, to $3,600. This is regar ded as low us a good lawyer cun relinquish a profitable business l<*r,andtake upon him self the responsibilities o f a Judge. The Bill will undoubtedly become a Law soon. The resolution to adjourn to Tuesdax, the 26: h inst., was taken up and adopted. Tlie Senate then adjourned. Tlie lime ot ibe House was spent in com mil lee ot the whole on School bills, quire a number of winch were reported mid order ed to a third reading, after which the House adjourned. T uesday — Hie only bill considered in the House to day. was .one appropriating $2,500 for improving a small stream in St. Lawrenvv 0«*mity. The entire Se* don was u>ed in useless debate which benefited no body. Ji \vn> ordered to a 1 bird reading, and then the House adjourned. In .lie S enate —quiiea number o f local bills were reported from tlie commit ties and ■several read a’third time, and , assed Ma jority and minoriry reports were received from the Can d Board in answer to a reso lution offV h l by Senator B komks ns to the expediency of\ abolishing the office of Sti- periiitemlaht. P R O F E SSO R W O O D ’ S H A llt R E ti T O R A T I V E I S, no doubt, the most wonderful discovery of this age ef progress. The following is from a distinguished mem ber uf the medical profession: St. Paul, JatVy, 1,1855. Prof. 0. J. Wood—Dear Sir: Unsolicited, 1 send you this certificate. After being nearly bald for a long time, and having tried all the hair restoratives extant, and hav ing no faith in any, I wu« induced, on hearing of yours, to give it a trial. I placed myseif in the hands of a baiber, and had my head'well rubbed with a good, stifTbrush, and the Restorative then applied and well rubbed in, till the scalp was all a glow. This I repeated every morning, and in three »eeks the young hair appeared, and grew rapidly from August last up to the present time, and Is now thick, black and strong—soft and pleasant to the touch, whereas before it was harsh and wiry, what little there was of it and that little was disappearing rapidly. I still use your Re storative about twice a week, and shall soon have a good and perfect crop o f hair. Now 1 have read of these things —and who has not ?—but have never seen hitherto, any case in which any person’s hair was really benefited by any o f the hair tonics, Ac., o f the d a y ; and it really gives me pleasure to record the result of my experieucc. I have recommended your preparation to others, awl it already I has a large and general sate throughout the Territory. i The people here saw its effects, and have confidence in it. All who have used it here will coincide with mo in what I have written. The supply you sent us as the wholesale agents o f the Territory, is already exhausted, ami daily in quiries are made for it. You deserve credit for your dis covery. I for one return you thanks for the benefit it h-is do.ie me, for I certainly had despaired tong, long a: o of ever effecting any such result. 1 congratulate you that your fortune (and a larg> one) is already made.
