He married Mildred Dicks Sept. 6. 1953 in Unadilla.\ He grew up in the Binghamton area and later moved to Bainbridge prior to his entry into the Army as a staff sergeant, serving in World War II in Japan and the Philippines. He was 1996 at his home in Morris. Pickett, a psychiatrist, had been the medical director for Tompkins County Mental Health Services in Ithaca. He was bom Nov, I, 1959 on the island of Galveston. TX, the son of Dr. Lee Uoyd and Nettie Doris Pickett. He vvas a graduate of Rice Uni versity and completed his medical training at the University of Texas. Helen Mayne of Burlington Hats; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held at 10 am . Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Burlington Flats Baptist Church with Pastor Jay Henderson and the Rev. Pastor Jay Henderson ana Doug Buleigh officiating.
