Together they pro duce a magnificently blended sound with a rmarkable coloristic range.’’ The Brantano Stfing Qufrrtei is a new ensemble of outstan \ standing young artists which already has an impres sive array o f performances, includ ing part of a new series highlight ing emerging ensem ble presented by the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. During the $ubs:ripuon drive, the inia Concert Association wilt sell season subscriptions granting admission to all five concerts. Prices are S3S for adults, S2S for students and S75 for families. Because of a sharp drop in state supprort, the Association sells admissioi ions to indi vidual conceris, but the cost will be at least SI 5 per concert So the season subscription is a sig nificant saving. OCA subscribers are also entitled to discounted admissions to the Cooperstown Conceit Association’s fine pn^rams. The OCA made it own debut with one concert in early 1928 when tire relatively unknown bassist Lawrence Tibbett per formed. Tibbett went on to become one o f the world’s best loved opera and concert soloists, a story repeat ed by many artists who a p p ^ u ^ under OCA auspices. Sharofft Isbin is just one of the performers who will be a part o f the Oneonta Concert Association series this season.
