8 □ March 22.1995 □ FREEMAN’S JOURNAL D ining & Entertainment UCCCA looking for shows ONIONTA - The Upper Catskill Community Council of the Arts has apiounced a call for slides for next year's exhibition program at the KubiaJn Gallery the deadline of which is April 1. “Each year we ask artists and curators to submit slides of their work, or a proposal to Irave an nsider^ in the Kubiak exhibit consic Gallery on Main Street.\ said Execudve Director Kathryn Dailey. “The diversity and breadth of artists’ vsrork from this region makes the selection process difficult, and there ®e only a few scheduled shows available in any given year. \We therefore encourage artists who may have submitted slides in die past but not had an exhibitum sched uled, to submit their work “TTiis is a juried propess as well, and we make every effort to vary the jury from year to yeas, mid to have pe^le from as many different disci- pliiKs within the visual arts world involved as possible. BVACC kicks off 1995 s e a son* p= MORRIS - The Butternut Vallej Arts and Crafts Cent® is kicking ey off its spring season with a host of class es. and officials t h ^ invite area res idents to join the organization. BVACC is a non-profit and annual membership is $S for sin gles senior citizens, $10 for singles and SIS for families. Classes, according to the directors, are enjoyable, infoimal and modestly priced. They teach traditional crafts that are mcreasingly hard to find. Dot Wine’s upcoming uipsare already sold out, but diere may be more. Those interested are invit Marilyn Roveland will be paint ing a bright, new face, and it will be displayed in the center’s window soon. Roveland lives in Morris and enjoys painting people’s homes. To have a home done, contact her directly or through the center.
