It was decided that the m em b ers of the service and hospitality committee, who sponsored the quilt that was sold a t Booster night m eeting last Monday, would hold a supper at the Roxbury Run restaurant so Monday several Grange m em b ers attended the dinner. Amasa Slauson spent a few days last week in the M a rga retville M emorial hospital with a severe cold. Invited guests in cluded Mr. and Mrs. Pete Palen, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bim s and son, Patrick, Miss Cassamdra Finnis, Mr. and Mrs. Jam e s M cM urren, Bob Davis and Gary Smith. The menu included stuffed manicotti, lasagne, tossed salad, garlic bread, sugar and shortbread cookies and cubed jello. Halloween Halloween was a sight to behold. Witches flying through the a ir and the Great Pumpkin reigned o v er all! Miss Turck’s second period home eco nomics class prepared a Halloween party for Mrs. Fenton’s k indergarten. Candy com decorated cupcakes. carm el apples and candy apples were served with milk. The children also made popcorn balls. Last week d u ring the activ ity period fifth and sixth grade boys and girls m ade candies and cookies to bring to the h ospital for Halloween. They also decorated little cartons with orange and black p aper. Puppet Show Atargaret Babykin and Eliza beth Kolar presented an original puppet play in the Fleischm anns school library Oct. 25 and Oct. 30, for g rades 1 and 2. Students in the middle and high school held a pep rally last Friday afternoon in anticipation of M a r g a r e t ville’s participation in the soccer sectionals. New Teacher William Dober William Dober is the new general music teacher for grades K-4 at MCS. He also teaches fourth grade instru m ental music. Besides teach ing a t MCS, he teaches general music at Andes two days a week. Mr. Dober was bom in Albany, but attended high school in Rochester. He received his bachelor of music degree at Houghton coUege in Houghton, N. Y. He now lives in Shandaken. Mr. Dober’s hobbies are cycling and tennis and he plays the trum p et.
