The regular meeting of the Middletown American Legion post, which would normally fall on th e first Wednesday of the month, will be held Wednesday, June instead at the Legion home in Margaretville. The first Wednesday of July is Indepen dence Day. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Lasher of Hubbell Hill were given a surprise party last week Wed nesday in observance of their 48th wedding anniversary.
