Y- Thurs,, Jan. 18, 1973 Arkville By Mrs. David Williams Arkville, Jan. 18 Mrs. Grace Maxim cele'brated her 79th birthday Jan. 8 at the home of her son-'in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Kittle. Mrs. Maxim, who has been confined to tJie house for several months, was remem bered by relatives and friends with greeting cards, flowers and gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Johnson left Saturday to spend a few months at their home in Fore Myers, Fla. Rev. and Mrs. Howard Deats were Friday guests of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Dehoff, at Ma- plecrest. Mr. and Mrs. Elliot Johnson of Kingston were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Filupeit and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. August Filupeit of Walton visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Filupeit, and sons on Sunday. ^ Illness Plentiful John Roberts and Joseph Gra ham were admitted to Marga- retville Memorial hospital last week with pneumonia. George Decker returned to Delaware Valley hospital in Walton after spending a few days home. He has been ill with pneumonia. His daughter, Irene Beardsley, was also taken to Delaware Valley hospital. Mrs. Decker has been a patient in Delaware Valley for several weeks. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Davis Jan. 4 at the O’Connor hospital in Delhi. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Davis of Arkville. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Sanford spent the weekend with their son-in-law, and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Davies, at Sche nectady. They attended a shower for their granddaugh ter, Mrs. Ronald Sprague, cn Friday evening and visited Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Ocker at Al bany on Saturday. Mrs. Carolyn Ferguson and son. Jay, of Delhi were Sunday guests of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Vredenburgh. Sunday guests of Mrs. Gladys Bryden and mother, Mrs. Jen nie Shaver, were Mrs. A. D. Elwood of Brooksville, Fla., Mrs. Erastus Haynes cf Andes and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shavpr and son of Middletown. Mrs. Frank Mami and sons, Frank and Peter, and son-in- law, Dennis Vetter, spent Tues day night last week in New York city with Frank Mami Sr. and Mrs. Dennis Vetter. They also visited Mrs. C. Al- media and her husband, Mr. Almedia, a patient in St. Vin cent hospital in New York. Mrs. Harold Bouton and her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Cortese, of Roxbury were in Syracuse the last of the week on busi ness. Mr. and Mrs. David Williams visited his sister, Mrs. Kezia Maas, on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leoneu-d Estus in Corbett.
