Howard Drew underwent ma jor surgery at the Bassett hos pital in Cooprestown last week Wednesday. He is improving and would like to hear from his friends. Mrs. Robert Glendening and son, William, of Endwell spent Tuesday to Thursday of last week with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Arch Glendening. Dr. Lyman Hale of Seoul, Korea, and his childi-en, Terry and Melleny Hale, both stu dents at Syracuse imiversity, were surprise visitors of his sister, Mrs. Allen Joslin, one day last week upon their re turn from visiting his parents. Rev. and Mrs. Lyman Hale, in Lakewood, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. James Drew and son, Christopher, of Sara toga Springs were Jan. 5 week end guests of his mother, Mrs. Howard Drew, and sisters, Martha and Linda, and visited his father at Bassett hospital in Cooperstown. Mr. and Mrs. John Longo and son, John, of Brooklyn spent the weekend of Jan. 6 with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Conine. Mrs. Spear Andrews returned home from the Delaware Val ley hospital in Walton the end of last week. She is spending time with her son and daugh- ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David Andrews Sr., and family. Mrs. Lionel VanKleeck of Yorktown Heights and her sister, Mrs. Floyd Liddle, were in Troy Sunday to visit Mrs. Eric VanWert, the former Karen VanKleeck of Walton. A daughter, Monica Jean, who weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces, was iborn to Mr. and Mrs. Eric VanWert on Sunday at the Samaratan hospital in Troy. Mrs. Allen Joslin and son, Robert, Mrs. Lloyd Johns and Miss Sandra Malek of Shokan went to Colgate iuniversity last week Wednesday to visit Dee Thursday, Jan. 18 Joslin and attended the basket ball game between Colgate and Lafayette colleges. Miss fiobbi Freeman of Spring Valley spent the week end of Jan. 6 with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sprague and son, Willard. Willard and Bobbi returned to the State Univer sity college at Fredonia on Jan. 8. Mrs. Stanley Reed and Mrs. Edna Gustafson were last week Wednesday visitors of Mrs. Mil dred Reed in Holmesville. Mr. and Mrs. William C. Valk of Kelly Corners were last week Wednesday guests of her brother-in-law and sister. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Conine. Mrs. Marie Joslin, Mrs. Edna Joslin and son, Robert, Mrs. Lloyd Johns and son, Peter, attended a wrestling match at the Onteora school last week Tuesday evening. Their grand son amd nephew, Paul Malek, of Shokan was a winner in a 3 to 2 decision. George and Daniel Redden and Chipper Sidorowicz went to West Mountain and Gore Mountain in Glens Falls Fri day and Saturday and enjoyed skiing. Thomas Breen of York, Pa., underwent open heart surgery in Philadelphia last week Tues day. He is improving. He is m£U-ried to the former Arlene Holloway, granddaughter of Stella Armstrong of Andes. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fellner of Virginia were Friday and Saturday guests of his brother- in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Kaare Berg, and family. Mr. and Mrs. James Davis of Middleburgh were Sunday visitors of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Davis. George Redden, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Redden, re turned to the State University college at Brockport Sunday after spending the holidays with bis parents and brother, Daniel. Miss Christine VanKleeck, who was a surgical patient at the Margaretville Memorial hospital, returned to her home on the Tremperskill Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilson of Newburgh were Saturday guests of Mrs. Charles Aitken. Mrs. LeRoy Miller visited Mr. and Mrs. Edward Grout a few days last week dn Delhi. Bovina Co-op Held Annual Elections The annual meeting of the Co-operative Fire Insurance company was held at the Bo vine fire hall on Jan. 9. The following were reelected as di rectors: Charles Lee, Howard Conklin, Robert Hall and Clark Lay. Other directors and offi cers are John W. Bums, presi dent; William Inman, vice president; Lindon B. Morse, secretary - treasurer; Ferris Todd, Harold Lounsbury, H. F. Davidson and Edwin Doig. The secretary advised that the company had increased in surance in force the last year by .$990,073 to a new high of 53,223,344, with assets of $77,- 750.02 on property in the coim- ties of Delaware, Otsego, Greene, Schoharie, Ulster, Sul livan, Dutchess, Broome, Che nango and Schenectady. The home office of the company is located at Roxbury. Form W-2 Deadline Buffalo, N. Y.—^The deadline for employers to give employes their 1972 Forms W-2 is Wed nesday, Jan. 31. The form shows earnings, income tax withheld and social security infomation, and the employe^ must attach a copy of the W-2 to his income tax return when filing.
