He motored to Aloany Tuesday to meet Miss Delia Alpert and brother, George Alpert, of Plattsburgh and Washif^on, D. C., who spent a few days here. Mrs. Louise Frevert returned Tuesday after spending Christ mas with her son and daugh- ter-in-iaw, Mr. and Mrs. Mi chael Frevert, at Columbus, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hart mann Jr., who were recently married, have moved to Ari zona. Mrs. Artis Etts, teacher of cosmetology at the Northern Cgtsldjl Occupational center, gave a Christmas party at her home the Friday night before Christmas. Twenty-five were present. A buffet dinner was ■sensed, and gifts exchanged. Mark Alan Jones, stationed at Bixoli Air Force Base, Miss., arrived Dec. 22 to spend Christ mas with his parents. Rev. and Mrs. A. Elmer Jones. Mr. and 'Mrs. Eric Vofi Essen gave a birthday party at their home in honor of Mrs. Eber Cartwright on Dec. 23. It was a complete surprise to her. There were four tables of pi nochle played, and prizes were win by Mrs. Eber Cartwright, Mrs. Bruce Raeder, Larry Cart wright and Ercole Rutulante. Jason, 4, and Jeremy, six months, have moved from John son City to Roanoke, Va., iwhere Mr. Nichols works for an engineering firm. They are 50 miles from the M'illers. Their son, Gregg, is a student at the University df North Carolina and plans to teach math. Miss Barbara Bruske of Ber- genfield, N. J., was a Christ mas guest of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lang. Mr. and Mrs. H e r b e r t Schmalzriedt Jr. and daugh ters, Debra and Dorothy, of Palmyra were Christmas guests of Rev. and Mrs. Herbert Schmalzriedt. The Schmalz- riedts’ son-in-law and daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Lee, and children of Madsson, Wis., could not come as they sail Friday for Beirut, Lebanon, where Mr. Lee will be profes sor at the American university there. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jack son of Brooklyn and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ingles and son, Kenneth Jr., of Andes were Christmas guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank D’Orta. Miss Sarah Brodt of St. Paul, Minn., and Miss Amy Brodt, student at Michigan State university at East Lan sing, Mich., are spending the Christmas holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brodt. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schus ter and daughter, Marlys, of Morrisville spent Christmas with their mother, Mrs. Edith Schuster. Miss Grace S. Preston spent Christmas wiith her niece, Mrs. William Griffiths, and family at Media, Pa. Mrs. Elizabeth Reed spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Kelly and family at Nor wich. Hewitt were guests Christmas morn ing of their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Doris Hewitt, and family and were dinner guests in the afternoon of Mr. and Mrs. Jo seph Hewitt in New Kingston. Mary and Carol Hewitt came to spend a few days with them. Mrs. Mildred Alexander end daughter, Kathy, of Cairo spent Sunday with the Hewitts.
