Miss Lola Baker, who teaches in Suffern, spent the weekend at her heme. This is her sec ond year at Suffern, and she expect.s to return, for a third year. Clinton Sparling visited his mother. Mi's. Stella Baker, and they visited Mrs. Georgianna Reed in Delhi Saturday. That night Clinton motored to Bing hamton to take liis son, Rich ard, en route to Camp Dix, N.J., after a leave at home. Rev. Francis Rivenburgh, who immediately preceded Rev. Clemen E. Brown as pastor of the United Methodist church here, is seriously ill at the Al bany Medical center. He is paiitor near Albany. Family Together The Bush-Constable family reunion was held Sunday a t the Arkville pavilion with 43 pres ent from Roxbury, Bloomville, Newburgh, Pennsylvania and Kingston. It was the 24th an nual reunion. Mrs. Kenneth Johnson was elected president, and Mrs. Wilbur Johnson sec- retary-treasurer. Mark Jones, son of Rev. and Mrs. A. Elmer Jones, signed up for six years in the Air Force Monday at Albany. He will leave in October. Mark graduated from Roxbury cen tral school in June 1971, and has attended the Tuccoa Falls Bible school at Tuccoa, Ga., the last year. Mr. and Mrs. William Voihel of Long Island, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elber Cartwright for the weekend. Charles Elflein Jr. celebrat ed his 15th birthday by a party at his home Sunday afternoon. Present w'ere his uncle, Edward Elflein of Seacliff, L.I., his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jeans, and son, Eric, of Stamford, and ih'is grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Elflein Sr. of Roxbury. John Bandt of Roch ester occupied the pulpit of the Gould Memorial Reformed church a t Roxibury Sunday as a candidate. Rev. and Mrs. Bandt and their children, John, Tim othy, Leta and Lisa, stayed at the Roxbury motel. They were breakfast guests of Mrs. Fran ces Gorsch and Mrs. Lela Gibbs, had lunch at Kirkside and were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hadden. Mrs. Julia Gilham spent the .weekend in New Haven, Conn., where her brother, iYankl'n Mattice, is a patient at the Yale hospital. He underwent heart surgery. Mr. and Mrs. James M. Bou- tcn and daughter, Susan, of Briarcliff Manor spent the Me morial weekend with their Roxbury relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent J. Kelly Jr. of South Bend, Ind., Miss Katherine Egan of Yonkers, John Moran of Northport, L.I., and Miss Pamela Baudrin were Memorial weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent J. KeUy. Pamela Balcom and ^ her fi ance, Richard Barlowe, of Wal ton were Saturday afternoon guests of her grandmother, Mrs. Tom McClellan. George Deck er and daughter, Irene Olm sted, and her daughters, Nancy and Stacey, of Arkville were also Sunday guests of Mrs. Mc Clellan. Mrs. Marjorie Van Valken- burgh, who has been a patient at the Margaretville hospital, has entered the St. Anthony hospital at Warwick, N.Y., where she will undergo surgery. Earl G. Schreiber, professor in the English department of New York State University at Stony Brook, L. I., spent a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl T. Schreiber. Mr. and Mrs. William Korver came by car from New Castle, Calif., visiting relatives and friends in Iowa, Chicago and other points, on the way. They are visiting Mrs. Korver’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. Lynn Jenkins. Mrs. Korver is the former Mrs. Velma Jenkins. Her daugh ters, Mrs. Anne Boettiger of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Wal ter Clawitter and daughter, Christine, of Fremont, Calif., were exipected by plane. All came to attend the wedding of Mrs. Korver’s 'granddaughter, Janie Jenkins. Mrs. Polishuk Died May 26 in Florida Mrs. Charlotte Beatrice Poli shuk, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna Steinhardt of Fleischmanns, died May 26 in Hollywood, Fla. She was 55 years old. Mrs. Polishuk had devoted her life to the education of children, serving many years in the public school system of New York city, as a teacher and an assistant principal. She was also a writer, contrilbuting nu merous articles to educational journals. Surviving Mrs. Polishuk are her huslband, Paul Polishuk; her daughter, Anita Polishuk, and her sister. Mr. and Mrs. Moses Lobel spent a few days in New York last week. Mrs. Adriano 1-anzi was in South Kortright Wednesday afternoon to attend the funeral of Henry Miglianti. Kevin Sanford of Cobleskill is spending time with his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken San ford, while his mother, Mrs. Douglas Sanford, is staying with her father, Harold Paul. Mrs. Paul is critically ill in the Walton hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Faulk ner and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ruff were in Rochester over the weekend to attend a bowling tournament. Tracey and Jimmie Faulkner stayed with Wanda Lanzi, and Janice spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. A1 Nelson in Margaretville. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wisniew ski and son, Kevin, spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Adriano Lanzi. Rosemary and Kevin remained for the week. They purchased Kenneth Ferris’s .stone house on Spruce street and moved there in January 1967 from Mountain Lake, N.J. They have sold their house to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gibbs, who were re cently married. Mrs. Nelson has been a. mem ber of tie Hobby club and Garden club. Two Earn Honors At Cobleskill Tech Two local graduates cf State University Agricultural and Technical college at Ccbloskill achieved dean’s list and Phi Theta Kappa honors at t'le commencement held May 27. Rebecca Gray, daughter cf Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Gray of New Kingston, achieved her honors in a food service admin istration major. She also took part in the Orange Key, dormi tory council, food service dub and chorus during her two years at Cobleskill. Steven Edvvard Gile, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Gile of Rox bury, was a major in data pro cessing. He also participated in intramural basketball and intramural football at Cobles kill.
